MEET JUDGE GOLDSTEIN

An Outstanding Judge, Committed to the Community

BIOGRAPHY

 

Judge Goldstein began her legal career in 1990, after receiving her law degree from the National Law Center at George Washington University in Washington, D.C. Since then, she has practiced in diverse fields, including construction litigation, education law, state and local government, government contracts and procurement.

 

Judge Goldstein is fluent in Spanish and was named Legal Counselor to the Mexican Consulate in Houston on March 20, 1998. She opened her own law office in 2003.

 

Judge Goldstein has judicial experience that has prepared her well for the 44th Civil District Court. She has served as a Municipal Court Judge for the City of Cockrell Hill for 7 years, and also served as Presiding Judge for Royse City.

 

In addition, she served for five years as an Associate Judge for the City of Dallas, resigning only to pursue her current campaign. 

 

In addition to serving on the bench, Judge Goldstein regularly represented and advised local governments on a variety of issues, including economic development, contracts, procurement, construction, employment, code enforcement, land use, planning and zoning issues, and variances. Since 1994, she has served several Texas municipalities through the office of City Attorney, including the City of McKinney.

 

In addition, Judge Goldstein has authored and presented papers to various groups, including the North Central Texas Council of Governments and Police Training Academy, the Texas Municipal Courts Education Center, Governmental Collectors Association of Texas, and the Texas Municipal League.
